A business isn't selectable on the consent screen
The Website Assistant is in open beta for every business, so the usual reason a business is greyed out is that your role doesn't include website editing for it. Ask an owner or admin to grant you website access, then reconnect. (If ShopStable has closed the beta and moved it to a paid plan, a business also needs that plan — its own can retry once upgraded.)
The import says my site blocks automated visitors
Many small-business hosts ship a blanket "no robots" rule. Since it's your website, you can authorize the import yourself: open your workspace when the assistant asks, and confirm the attestation ("this is my website and I authorize this import"). The assistant cannot confirm this for you — only you can, and the confirmation is logged.
"The draft was changed by another editor"
You (or a teammate) edited while the assistant was working — this is the conflict guard doing its job. Nothing was lost: the assistant refetches and re-applies its change on top of yours. If you see this in your editor after the assistant restored a checkpoint, reload to pick up the latest draft.
The assistant says it can't publish
Correct — it never can. Review the draft preview link, then click Publish in your editor yourself.
My connection stopped working
In likely order:
- Revoked or expired? Check Account → Connected apps — reconnect if it's gone or past its expiry.
- Password reset recently? That revokes all connections, by design.
- Role changed? You need website-edit access on the business; ask the owner.
- Rate limited? Sustained heavy building can hit per-minute limits; the assistant waits and continues automatically.
The preview link expired or says the draft was published
Preview links last 24 hours and are pinned to one draft. Ask the assistant for a fresh one — and if the draft was published in the meantime, the notice links you to the live site.
Something else?
Contact support from the Support page — include the business name and roughly when it happened; the audit log lets us see exactly what the assistant did.
