Working With Your Pages
You can ask for page work in plain language. The Website Assistant reads your draft, finds the right page, and keeps the changes in a draft until you publish them yourself. You never need to give it a page ID.
Find the pages you already have
Start with this prompt whenever you need an overview:
Show me every page on my website. For each one, tell me its title, web address, whether it is in the header or footer navigation, and whether it is the home page. Do not make any changes.
If you have more than one business connected, include its name in the first sentence. The assistant confirms the business before it reads or changes anything.
Open and improve one page
Use the page title or its web address. Be clear about whether you want ideas first or want the assistant to start building.
Open my About page. Suggest three ways to make it clearer for new customers, but do not change it yet.
When you are ready to act:
On my About page, replace the opening section with a short explanation of who we help, why customers choose us, and a button that links to Contact. Show me a preview when you are done.
The assistant saves a checkpoint before its first change in the session. It builds in small sections so you can watch the page update in the Website Builder.
Add a page
Tell the assistant the page name, the address you want, and where visitors should find it. For example:
Add a Testimonials page at /testimonials. Put it in the header navigation after Services. First, tell me the sections you plan to add. Wait for my approval before you build them.
For a page that should not be in your menu, say so directly:
Add a Thank You page at /thank-you, but keep it out of the header and footer navigation. It should only be reached after someone submits the contact form.
You can also start with a blank page and fill it later:
Add a Careers page at /careers and put it in the footer navigation. Create the page only; do not add sections yet.
Change a page name, web address, or navigation
The assistant can update a page's title, web address, search details, and navigation placement. Try prompts like these:
Rename my Services page to What We Offer, but keep its current web address.
Change the web address for my About page from /about-us to /about. Keep it in the header navigation and update its search title and description to match.
Move Contact so it appears after About in the header navigation. Do not change the page content.
Keep my Privacy Policy page available by direct link, but remove it from the main navigation.
Ask the assistant to summarize the result after a page or navigation change. It can also show you the updated page list again.
Remove a page safely
Deleting a page is permanent for the current draft, so the assistant asks for your explicit confirmation. Start with a review:
I am considering deleting my old Promotions page. Tell me where it appears in the navigation and what pages link to it. Do not delete it yet.
If you decide to continue, be unmistakable:
Delete the Promotions page now. I confirm that I want it removed from this draft.
You can ask the assistant to restore the session checkpoint if you change your mind.
A simple page-building rhythm
For each page, this sequence keeps you in control:
- Ask the assistant to show the current page and propose a plan.
- Approve the plan or adjust it.
- Ask it to build one page or one section at a time.
- Ask for a desktop and phone preview.
- Give feedback in ordinary language, such as "make the first heading shorter" or "move the contact button higher".
- When you like the draft, ask for a preview link and review it before you publish.
